First responders are some of society’s true heroes. Day in and day out, they faithfully serve the people of our communities when they most desperately need it. In a small but sincere way, we want to bless these great men and women in return with a hearty breakfast and a time if inspiration and fellowship. Here are the details:

WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2025 | 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

WHERE: In the gym at Discovery Bible Church

COST: We are inviting our church family to “sponsor a responder” by purchasing one or more $25 tickets for these community servants. These tickets will cover the cost of breakfast and the special speaker.

WHO: This is not an open invitation event. It will serve 1) the first responders in our church (who will also be given 1 or more additional tickets to invite another first responder or two) and 2) the first responders who are immediate family/relatives of Discovery attendees. (Limited tickets available. We will release these starting Sunday, June 6, 2025.)

GUEST SPEAKER: We are very honored to have Ed Kelley (FBI Chaplain) coming to speak to the group. His experience includes: Executive Pastor of 3 large churches; FBI/INLETS Chaplain for 14 years; former chaplain for the Bakersfield Narcotics/SWAT team; Church Management and Leadership Consultant; Married for 44 years, 3 grown children, 6 grandsons.
